Tomorrownauts, we're offering a rare opportunity to own a piece of Tomorrowland movie history:
A production-made Tuning Fork prop!
Not many pieces from this film exist outside of the Disney archives, so don't miss your chance to own a recognizable original prop made for a very memorable comedic moment in this emerging cult classic.
A bit of history on this piece:
Four of this style tuning fork were made for production, two hero metal samples that were not seen in the film, and two rubber stunt versions — one of which was used on screen. Due to George Clooney needing to "hit" Raffey Cassidy with a prop in the scene, a stunt version was used for its entire appearance.
The item featured in this auction is one of those two stunt pieces, with details that differ from the hero metal versions they were based on. It may not be the exact item used on screen in the final film, but it is one of only two made for use on set, and features some production wear as highlighted in the listing photos.
This auction includes one stunt tuning fork prop, one customized hard-shell case with protective foam insert, as well as a letter of authenticity outlining the history of the prop alongside a photocopy of the original auction house certificate of authenticity for the lot from which this item was acquired.
The tuning fork is available now on eBay.
